On 13th May 2011 we set off on a unique trip. The very first of it's kind 'Around the Med in a Morgan' is a daring driving adventure. A 10 week, open-topped, non-stop, engine revving, horn blowing, heart stopping, exciting, and quite possibly "scorchio" hot, circumnavigation of the Mediterranean Coast in a British built Morgan sports car - one and a half drivers ( Lisa can only count as a half!), very limited equipment, certainly no trailer and no extra vehicle back up!

On this intrepid adventure, we're leaving the roof and our spare tyre behind and keeping everything to the barest minimum. We're using "The Great Race" as the theme of the drive, although without the bad guys (we hope!) and the complete white attire of Mr Curtis, mainly due to limited laundry facilities, and besides, as our Tony is a designer, he favours black or grey anyway!

Lisa however intends to emulate, and has already started practising, the feisty, sex appeal of Natalie Woods with a hint of Marilyn Monroe thrown in, mainly in order to keep Tony on his toes but also useful for charming, or at worst case distracting, any uniformed officials when crossing tricky borders!

Why you ask?
Because it's there perhaps?.... but it would be true to say that the idea sprung from a love of the Mediterranean, and a love of driving, and the belief that the two together would make an unbeatable combination. We also thought it would be a great way to raise some well needed donations for two of our favourite charities - MacMillan Cancer Support and Dove House Hospice.
